Confidentiality and Testing of Confidential Products

Testing of sensitive prototypes and secure confidentiality

Do you want RapidUsertests to test your prototype or a new feature, but you don't want the contents of the test to be made public before the release?

We will show you what measures we take to ensure the confidentiality of your test items and what alternatives you have to Online-Usability-Tests.

The Standard: Our Tester Terms and Conditions

Our testers confirm our tester terms and conditions when they register in our tester panel. It is written there on the subject of confidentiality:

Experience has shown that this guarantee is sufficient for our customers.

The Extra: Non-disclosure Agreement

However, if you want to be on the safe side, we can also include a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before the test. Here, the tester explicitly confirms his or her confidentiality about the test contents directly before the test and acknowledges the trade secrets of the company.

NDA: The Procedure

Do you want the testers to agree to an NDA before testing starts? Then simply contact us by mail, via chat below, or by phone (030 / 555 747 987) and we will set up the non-disclosure agreement for an additional fee. You can also request the NDA directly when booking as an additional service.

Before the start of the test, the testers agree to the NDA. If they don't, they don't get to see your prototype.

In our six years of Crowd-Usability-Testing, we are not aware of any incident in which confidential information from our testers has leaked out.

However, you can never be 100% sure with Crowd-Testing, so here are two alternatives we offer besides RapidUsertests:

The alternatives: Usability Test in a Lab and Expert Review

For exceptionally sensitive information, alternative methods can be used with our Usability Experts instead of Crowd-Usability-Tests:

Lab Usability Test: The test takes place in our Berlin Lab using our equipment. A Usability Consultant guides the tester through the test and thus always keeps an eye on him. The tester therefore can not take screenshots or other recordings of the test environment, so the situation is less similar to reality than in our RapidUsertests. More about Lab Usability Tests.

In-house tests in your office: With RapidUsertests Premium you can also run in-house tests at your office. Learn more here.

Expert Review: Two usability experts analyze the most frequent use cases of the product from the user's point of view, based on usability heuristics and their broad product experience. In this way, they also identify the potential for optimization, but the expert review naturally lacks the impressions of real users. More about Expert Reviews.

So nothing stands in the way of optimizing the usability of your product, even if no information is to be made public. If you are interested in the NDA or in one of the alternative methods, please contact us: By mail, in the chat below, or under 030 / 555 747 987.
